We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at The Spay and Neuter Cruiser Veterinary Clinic. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical services.
Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures, including preparing patients, maintaining asepsis, and monitoring anesthesia.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by veterinarians, ensuring accurate dosing and record-keeping.
- Perform a range of laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis, to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
- Provide wound care and bandaging, as well as maintain a clean and organized treatment area.
- Contribute to office management tasks, such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and maintaining patient records.
- College diploma or certificate in veterinary technology or a related field.
- Registration with a provincial or territorial association as a Registered Animal Health Technologist or Registered Veterinary Technician.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
