Job Summary:
The Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A – NAM Retail will play a key role in delivering financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making across Arc'teryx Limited's North America Retail business. This role will involve developing and maintaining financial planning processes, preparing budgets and forecasts, and providing financial expertise to business leaders.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Planning and Analysis: Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets for North America Retail, with primary ownership of store overhead opex planning.
- Reporting and Analysis: Own the preparation and evolution of month-end P&L reporting and variance analysis for North America Retail store overhead opex.
- Presentations and Training: Develop presentations and training materials to support North America Retail leadership, area directors, and regional managers in understanding and interpreting their budgets.
- Business Partnership: Act as the key business partner to the real estate and store development team, assisting in the preparation and review of all North America new store opening (NSO) business cases.
- Sales Planning and Reporting: Own the sales planning and reporting processes for Arc'teryx's new circular ReBird business line, as well as the cafe at the New York flagship location.
- Performance Reporting: Develop specific NSO and ReBird sales & KPI performance reporting, providing insight into performance drivers.
- Store Portfolio Reporting: Assist in the development of store portfolio reporting, providing insight into sales performance, profitability, and productivity across the North American store fleet based on store age, location, and store type.
- Data Quality: Ensure data quality for month, quarter, and year-end close of books in SAP and Oracle, working in collaboration with the financial controlling team to identify and resolve issues when they arise relating to opex.
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Load and reconcile forecasts and budgets into planning systems.
- Financial Expertise: Provide financial expertise and guidance to business leaders as needed.
- Ad Hoc Reporting: Prepare ad hoc financial information as required.
- Long-Term Strategic Planning: Support in long-term strategic business plans for North America Retail.
- Process Improvement: Partner with Corporate FP&A on processes and business case templates for strategic initiatives.
- Real Estate Support: Support the real estate team on revamped and streamlined NSO business cases.
- Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in an Accounting, Financial Analyst, or an equivalent role.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or an equivalent field. A professional accounting designation or progress toward accounting designation is preferred.
- Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, experience in process creation and improvement, advanced analytical skills, proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis tools, and experience with SAP, Oracle EPM, and Power BI.
- Personal Qualities: Highly proficient in accounting systems and business intelligence tools, able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with individuals across departments, organizations, and countries.
A reasonable estimate of the pay range is $91,000 - $114,000 CAD at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and/or training.
