Carpenter-joiner Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter-joiner to join our team at Iron Home Renovation Inc. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy, dusty, and outdoors environments.
  • Excellent physical capabilities, including bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
