Job Title: Carpenter and Woodworker

At Iron Home Renovation Inc., we are seeking a skilled Carpenter and Woodworker to join our team. As a Carpenter and Woodworker, you will be responsible for reading blueprints, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials. You will also build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems. Additionally, you will fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, and instruct apprentices. Your role will also involve supervising other workers and maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in various establishments.

Key Responsibilities:

Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
Instruct apprentices
Supervise other workers
Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments

Requirements:

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy, dusty, and outdoors environments
Ability to work in construction, various locations, and renovation settings
Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches
Ability to measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials
Ability to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
Ability to fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
Ability to instruct apprentices
Ability to supervise other workers
Ability to maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures
