A2Z Networks & IT Consulting Inc. (Alberta) is seeking a skilled Network Systems Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.

The successful candidate will provide problem-solving services to network users, implement data, software, and hardware security procedures, and perform routine network start-up and close-down operations. Additionally, they will be responsible for performing data backups and disaster recovery operations, implementing network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimizing server performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and administer LANs, WANs, mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment
  • Provide problem-solving services to network users
  • Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures
  • Perform routine network start-up and close-down operations
  • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
  • Implement network traffic and security monitoring software
  • Optimize server performance

Requirements:

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in network administration
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of work
  • 40 hours per week
