Job Title: Welder and Fabricator

MacDougall Steel Erectors Inc. is seeking a skilled Welder and Fabricator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal parts and products to meet our high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment and determine weldability of materials.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • First Aid Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, and Welder Trade Red Seal Certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.
