Job Title: Welder Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled Welder Fabricator to join our team at MacDougall Steel Erectors Inc. in Canada.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and ensuring that welds meet standards and/or specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret welding process specifications and blueprints
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, including arc welding machines and gas welding machines
  • Examine welds and ensure they meet standards and/or specifications
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment
  • Determine weldability of materials and operate hoisting and lifting equipment
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field, or equivalent experience
  • First Aid Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, and Welder Trade Red Seal Certificate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with repetitive tasks, and manual dexterity
