Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Farm Supervisor to join our team at LOWER MAINLAND CEDARS LTD.

About the Role

This is a permanent position working 30 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing farm operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity while maintaining high standards of quality control and safety procedures.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in agriculture and possess excellent organizational and leadership skills. They must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate farm activities, including clearing fields, planting, and harvesting crops.
  • Maintain accurate records of production, quality control, and farm operations.
  • Ensure compliance with farm safety and bio-security procedures.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to optimize productivity.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1-7 months of experience in agriculture or a related field.
  • Prior experience with farm operations, including crop management and maintenance.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions

This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions, including rural areas. Steel-toed safety boots, gloves, and other personal protective equipment are required.

Compensation

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer competitive benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
