Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, based on industry standards and the level of experience required.

Job Description

As a Woodwork Specialist at Richmond Cabinets Ltd, you will be responsible for creating high-quality custom cabinets and furniture. Your tasks will include:

  • Studying plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made
  • Trimming joints and fitting parts and subassemblies together to form complete units and reinforcing joints
  • Sanding wooden surfaces and applying veneer, stain or polish to finished products; preparing and applying laminated plastics
  • Applying varnish, veneer, stain or polish to finished products
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Estimating costs and materials
  • Repairing or restyling wooden furniture, fixtures and related products
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 1-2 years of experience in woodworking or a related field
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and stand for extended periods
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work as part of a team
