We are a reputable custom cabinet shop seeking a skilled Woodwork Specialist to join our team.
SalaryThe estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, based on industry standards and the level of experience required.
Job DescriptionAs a Woodwork Specialist at Richmond Cabinets Ltd, you will be responsible for creating high-quality custom cabinets and furniture. Your tasks will include:
- Studying plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made
- Trimming joints and fitting parts and subassemblies together to form complete units and reinforcing joints
- Sanding wooden surfaces and applying veneer, stain or polish to finished products; preparing and applying laminated plastics
- Applying varnish, veneer, stain or polish to finished products
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Estimating costs and materials
- Repairing or restyling wooden furniture, fixtures and related products
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 1-2 years of experience in woodworking or a related field
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and stand for extended periods
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work as part of a team
