Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent, Process Operations to join our team at the Ekati Diamond Mine. As a key member of our Processing Team, you will be responsible for leading our safety culture and ensuring that all legal and contractual requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in and advocate for Health, Safety, Environment, and Security programs to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and contractual requirements, including those under the NWT Mines Health & Safety Act.
- Contribute to goal setting and strategic planning for processing operations.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives and drive results through rigorous monitoring and control.
- Manage departmental budgets and evaluate processing methods and equipment.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the process plant team using best practices.
- Accountable for achieving targets and ensuring effective cost management.
- Degree in Metallurgical, Process Engineering, or related discipline.
- At least seven years of progressive experience in processing roles, preferably in diamond processing.
- At least five years' experience in a supervisory role.
- Proven communication skills and ability to gain buy-in from within the team and other departments.
- Experience working in the mining industry, northern Canada, and understanding of the northern regulatory environment is preferred.
