The Educational Program Assistant provides support to students and staff in a school setting, working collaboratively with the educational team to foster a positive and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
• Valid First Aid/CPR Certification
• Medium Lifting (up to 50 pounds)
• Trained or Willing to be Trained: Toileting, Personal Care, Use of Assistive Technology, Catheterization, Tube Feeding, Physiotherapy Follow-up, Behaviour Management Support
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience Working with Down's Syndrome
• Experience Working with Autism
• A related diploma or certificate from a recognized post secondary institution, including a formal practicum placement
