Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our team at Ignite Construction. As a master carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and renovating residential and commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fabricate and install cabinets, doors, and other woodwork
  • Maintain and repair existing structures, including wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in carpentry
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy and dusty environments, and outdoors
  • Excellent oral communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and wear steel-toed safety boots, a hard hat, and a safety vest
