Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Reading blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Preparing layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Estimating costs and materials
  • Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments
Transportation/Travel Information

As a carpenter at Commodore's Boats Ltd., you will be required to have your own transportation or use public transportation. We ensure that our team members have access to reliable transportation options.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

This role requires you to work in a physically demanding environment, involving bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads. You must be able to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking positions.
