About the Role:

The Director, Disability Management will be responsible for leading and managing the Disability Management Office, providing advice and support to senior leaders on complex topics and sensitive issues. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working with legislative, legal, and governance systems in a public sector environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Disability Management Office, providing strategic advice to senior leaders on complex topics and sensitive issues.
  • Design and implement legislation, policies, and programs related to disability management.
  • Provide leadership and direction in the development of policies and programs, leveraging opportunities to find creative solutions to issues and successfully manage change.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of disability management policies and programs.

Requirements:

  • Management experience with post-secondary education in a social science-related field (e.g., Public Administration, Economics, Sociology, and Political Science), management, commerce, law, or a related area.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience successfully creating, fostering, and maintaining diverse teams to achieve results through effective human resource management activities.
  • Extensive experience working with legislative, legal, and governance systems in a public sector environment.
  • Superior written communication skills, including writing a variety of authority-seeking documents for senior leadership.
