About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified French Immersion Teacher to join our team at School District #40 (New Westminster). As a French Immersion Educator, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach French Immersion classes to students in a dynamic and engaging learning environment
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to promote academic growth
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning community
  • Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and best practices in French Immersion education
Requirements
  • Valid BC Teachers Certificate
  • Member of the Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch
  • Qualified/experienced in French Immersion at the Elementary Level
  • Native-like fluency in written and spoken French language
  • Experience teaching French Immersion and/or formal training in French Immersion methodology
  • Knowledge of effective literacy and numeracy practices and development
  • Knowledge and experience in personalizing learning for all students
  • Ability and willingness to work in a technologically rich learning environment
  • Successful completion of a Criminal Record Search as carried out through the Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch
