About the Role

Colas Canada Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Construction Field Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure development team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of construction projects.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to project safety policies and procedures
• Review and understand project schedules and timelines
• Oversee and facilitate the installation of equipment and components for projects
• Serve as a liaison with project management, reporting on inspections, subcontracting, progress, and delays
• Participate in project meetings and facilitate regularly-scheduled meetings related to BIM execution and deliverables
• Support integration of project data, including schedule, estimate, documentation, cost reports, and performance data
• Interpret designs and drawings for technicians
• Track RFIs, Shop Drawings, As-built drawings, and other project documents
• Proactively identify and resolve site issues that may impede project delivery
• Provide technical knowledge and input to assist installing contractors

Requirements

• Strong communication skills and ability to identify and resolve complex issues
• Ability to work in a cost-effective, customer-focused, team-based environment
• Effective team participation and ability to coordinate work of drafters
• Previous experience working on a large public infrastructure project is an asset
• Valid driver's license, preferably with a clean abstract
• Must reside in Edmonton for the duration of the project

Work Environment

In-process construction site, which includes working at-heights, outdoors in all types of Edmonton weather, climbing stairs and ladders, negotiating steep or slippery terrain, noise, and dust.
