Flour Milling Operations Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Flour Milling Team Supervisor to join our team at P & H Milling Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of our production team, ensuring the efficient operation of our flour milling equipment and maintaining high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of our production team, ensuring the efficient operation of our flour milling equipment.
- Train staff and workers in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions.
- Prepare production and other reports.
- Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other work units.
- Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies.
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 5 years or more of experience in flour milling operations.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Work Environment:
- Dusty.
- Hot.
- Noisy.
Work Setting:
- Flour mill.
Supervision:
- 5-10 people.
- Process control and machine operators, food and beverage processing.
Regulations Knowledge:
- Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) regulations.
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Knowledge of labour relations.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
- Ability to work independently.
- Fast-paced environment.
- Handling heavy loads.
- Attention to detail.
- Work under pressure.
