Role Overview

As a Financial Advisor with Co-operators, you will be an entrepreneurial-minded leader responsible for managing your own insurance agency. You will build strong ties to the community, cultivate long-term relationships with clients, and help Canadians assess, define, and implement solutions to meet their financial security needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect new clients to discuss risk management and financial goals, and conduct reviews to empower informed decision-making.
  • Cultivate community relationships to enhance agency visibility and maximize new business opportunities.
  • Develop and execute business, operational, and marketing plans to support sustainability strategies.
  • Recruit and select talent, coach and mentor employees, and manage team performance to achieve agency goals.
  • Maintain required licenses, ensure ethical behavior, and comply with corporate policies, industry standards, and legal regulations.
What to Expect
  • Regular travel to meet with clients and community members in their environment.
  • Requirement to have a valid driver's license, insurance, and own vehicle.
  • Confidentiality and discretion are essential when supporting clients experiencing personal or financial loss.
  • Subject to a Criminal Record and Consumer History background check.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of management experience in the insurance industry or related business experience.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field.
  • Life licence, General Insurance licence, and Mutual Funds licence.
  • Completed or working toward a professional designation such as CFP, CLU, CHFC, or accredited Financial Planning Designation.

Expected Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 + commission
