Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Garage Supervisor to join our team at AUTO MAJOR BODY SHOP INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our garage, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping

The Garage Supervisor will be responsible for preparing and submitting production reports, ensuring that all necessary data is accurate and up-to-date.

Team Management

They will supervise a team of workers, providing guidance and support to ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.

Activity Coordination

The Garage Supervisor will coordinate and schedule activities, ensuring that all work is completed on time and to a high standard.

Staffing and Training

They will be responsible for recruiting and hiring new staff members, as well as arranging training and development opportunities to ensure that all team members have the necessary skills and knowledge.

Bidding and Estimating

The Garage Supervisor will prepare bids and estimates for new projects, ensuring that all necessary costs and materials are taken into account.

Health and Safety

They will ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all team members.

Personnel Actions

The Garage Supervisor will recommend personnel actions, such as promotions or disciplinary actions, as necessary.

Materials and Equipment

They will requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed, ensuring that all necessary resources are available to complete tasks efficiently.

Work Scheduling

The Garage Supervisor will establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other work units, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.

Requirements
  • Education

A college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.

Work Environment

The Garage Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on efficiency and productivity. They will be required to work 35 hours per week, with occasional overtime as necessary.

The successful candidate will be required to work in English, with occasional communication with other team members in other languages.
