About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant, Solution Design to join our team at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the functional design and development of application systems across all technologies and platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of application systems, ensuring alignment with our technology roadmap and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into system and application design.
  • Design and document technical functionality, infrastructure, interfaces, and integrations.
  • Develop cost-effective and innovative solutions to meet business objectives and operational efficiency goals.
  • Act as the solution lead and interface with project teams, driving and moderating design review sessions to ensure alignment with business requirements and architectural directions.
  • Support and mentor junior designers and developers through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and effective problem solving.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3-6 years of experience as a Solution or Technical Architect/Consultant.
  • Experience providing guidance to technical teams, creating executive decks independently, and presenting to project teams and executives.
  • Experience working with business and architecture teams to develop and design technology solutions.
  • Strong technical skills, including experience with event-driven architecture, REST APIs, microservice architecture, CI/CD processes, DevOps pipelines, Java, Golang, SQL, and containerization.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Technical discipline.
