Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Greenhouse Horticulturist to join our team at Scott Street Greenhouses Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and beauty of our plants, ensuring they are properly cared for and thrive in our greenhouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plant bulbs and seeds in a controlled environment
  • Pot and re-pot plants to maintain optimal growth
  • Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings to promote healthy growth
  • Monitor plants for signs of insect or disease damage and report any issues
  • Clean and maintain the work area to ensure a safe and healthy environment

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods
  • Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
  • Reliability and ability to work in a team environment

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a greenhouse environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels
  • May be required to work at heights or in confined spaces
  • Must be able to lift and move heavy loads
