Job Title: Building Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at the Best Western Plus Norwester Hotel & Conference Centre. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our hotel and conference centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors, as well as cleaning windows and walls.
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners and other equipment to remove debris and maintain a clean environment.
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, and electrical systems.
  • Supervise other workers and ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Perform other routine maintenance jobs, such as painting and drywall repair, as needed.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a maintenance or facilities role.
  • Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle heavy loads.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
