As a Chief Accounting Strategist at EngineeringUK, you will be part of our Assurance & Accounting team, working closely with clients to provide business strategies and solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping and tax engagements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Set-up files for new clients and newly incorporated businesses, managing multiple files simultaneously and conducting inventory counts.
  • Perform accounts receivable, accounts payable, capital asset acquisition and disposition, and payroll walk-through with clients to optimize their financial processes.
  • Summarize clients' current financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statements, and other relevant reports.
  • Assess and assure the appropriateness of audit evidence for expenses, revenues, capital asset additions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and prepaid expenses.
  • Review, investigate, and correct discrepancies and irregularities in financial entries, documents, and reports to maintain transparency and accountability.
  • Establish charts of accounts and prepare entries for posting to accounts to ensure accurate financial record-keeping.
  • Prepare correspondence, technical reports, client summaries, and presentations outlining engagement findings, facts, and highlights to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Develop effective working relationships with clients while coaching and mentoring junior team members to foster growth and development.
  • Participate in business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and expansion.
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary, to meet with clients and attend industry events.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of relevant public accounting experience, with a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Experience working with accounting and tax software, including proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Understanding of business, accounting, management, and practice development principles, with a focus on strategic planning and execution.

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $57,000 - $75,500, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
