You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of our staff, including apprentices, sales associates, and design team members. Merchandise ManagementYou will be responsible for ordering merchandise, managing inventory, and ensuring that our store is well-stocked and visually appealing. This will involve working closely with our suppliers and vendors to negotiate prices and ensure timely deliveries.
Scheduling and Time ManagementYou will be responsible for establishing work schedules, managing employee time, and ensuring that our store is staffed appropriately during peak periods. This will involve working closely with our HR department to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
Cash Handling and SalesYou will be responsible for handling cash transactions, managing sales, and ensuring that our store is meeting its sales targets. This will involve working closely with our sales team to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Customer ServiceYou will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, resolving customer complaints, and ensuring that our customers are satisfied with their shopping experience. This will involve working closely with our customer service team to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
Inventory ManagementYou will be responsible for managing our inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking merchandise. This will involve working closely with our suppliers and vendors to ensure timely deliveries and optimal inventory levels.
Support for Newcomers and RefugeesYou will be responsible for providing diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees. This will involve working closely with our HR department to develop and implement training programs that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Support for Indigenous PeopleYou will be responsible for providing cultural competency training and awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers. This will involve working closely with our HR department to develop and implement training programs that promote cultural awareness and understanding.
Requirements- Education
A college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
Experience1 to less than 7 months of experience in a retail management role.
LanguageEnglish is the primary language of communication in this role.
Work Hours30 to 40 hours per week.
