QUALIFICATIONS:

To excel as a Senior Healthcare Manager with Island Health, you must possess a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in a relevant health discipline. A Master's degree and/or speciality certification in Critical Care are highly preferred.

We require seven years of healthcare experience, including several years at the supervisory/management level in a critical care area. Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.

You must also possess appropriate certification, license, or professional designation and be currently registered with the relevant regulatory body.

• Ability to foster a culture where quality improvement and change management principles are applied continuously.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills, with the ability to motivate and delegate effectively in both structured and unstructured situations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Demonstrated planning skills, both strategic and operational.
• Ability to work with teams to provide program services across multiple sites in a regional setting.
• Capacity to integrate administrative, professional, and operational aspects of the program efficiently and effectively.
