Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Discovery Harbour. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in our nursing home/home for the aged and long term care center settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist healthcare practitioners during examinations or treatments, ensuring seamless collaboration and coordination of care.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions and develop effective care plans.
  • Deliver health education programs to patients and their families, promoting healthy lifestyles and disease prevention.
  • Provide high-quality nursing care, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as maintaining accurate records and reporting.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A strong foundation in nursing principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong assessment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Certifications in CPR and First Aid, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • A valid criminal record check and bondability.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including:
