About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Child Care Assistant to join our team at A CHILD'S STORY – TERWILLEGAR DAY CARE. As a Child Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities and care of our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Early Childhood Educators: Collaborate with our experienced educators to develop and implement engaging programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Engage Children in Activities: Plan and lead activities that stimulate children's curiosity and creativity, such as storytelling, singing, and arts and crafts.
  • Prepare Snacks and Environments: Prepare healthy snacks and arrange rooms or furniture to create a safe and welcoming environment for our children.
  • Document Children's Progress: Record and submit written observations on children's development to our educators and supervisors.
  • Participate in Staff Meetings: Attend regular staff meetings to discuss children's progress, share ideas, and address any concerns.
Requirements
  • Education: A Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a related field is an asset.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and physical stamina to engage with children.

  • Language of Work: English
  • Hours of Work: 30 hours per week
  • Duration of Employment: Permanent
