Lead, Integrated Crisis Response Team, Mental Health and Substance Use Specialist

Interior Health Authority is seeking an experienced Lead, Integrated Crisis Response Team, Mental Health and Substance Use to provide expertise and leadership to the ICRT services within MHSU.
About the RoleThe Lead will collaborate with key partners across the health authority to develop, implement and monitor the performance and quality framework for ICRT services. The Lead will coordinate consistent, standard regional services including orientation and training, quality improvement initiatives and data collection.
Key Responsibilities- Review services to identify opportunities and/or gaps, and recommend priorities within existing approved plans and operational priorities.
- Develop and implement standard work and guidance documents related to orientation, data collection, and general processes to ensure consistency of service delivery across communities.
- Provide expertise into the development of plans, strategies and priorities, for service improvements.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of current evidence and best practice, using that knowledge to inform planning.
- Collaborate with external partners to identify service gaps and develop recommendations for addressing those gaps.
- Identify opportunities to improve data collection processes, and implement strategies towards the same.
- Collect, compile, analyze, and interpret service data to monitor program outcomes and identify emerging issues and trends.
- Perform regular audits and provide reporting to Clinical Operations Managers.
- Liaise with internal partners, programs, and portfolios.
- Develop service goals and monitoring frameworks for the service.
- Support and coordinate connections between other related operations teams and ICRT.
- Develop appropriate training, education and orientation protocols for IH staff as well as for police partners as it relates to IH based services.
- Support the evaluations process as set out by the Evaluations team.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a relevant field, and three years of recent, related experience in the field of Mental Health and Substance Use, preferably in an area of crisis response, Access or Connections programs, and including experience in project coordination and quality improvement.
The candidate will also possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing, including the ability to facilitate and negotiate.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the position is also required.
