Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Montessori Educator to join our team at Treehouse Montessori. As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of young children in a nurturing and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess children's development and create personalized learning plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
  • Provide exceptional care and support to infants and toddlers, including bathing, diapering, and feeding.
  • Develop and implement engaging child-care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth.
  • Maintain and clean daycare equipment to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Engage children in storytelling, singing, and educational activities to foster creativity and learning.
  • Supervise and train staff, trainees, or volunteers to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress and well-being.
  • Assist early childhood educators in maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Encourage children to express themselves through various forms of art, music, and physical activity.
  • Plan and lead activities that promote socialization, emotional intelligence, and cognitive development.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, community service providers, and parents to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Ensure the health, security, and well-being of children by maintaining a safe and organized environment.
Requirements
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) or equivalent certification.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Basic security clearance and vulnerable sector check.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of children and colleagues.
