About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Oncology Specialist to join our team at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, BC. As a General Practitioner in Oncology, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our well-established team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive medical oncology services to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and advancements in medical oncology.
Requirements
  • Eligibility for licensure as a specialist in British Columbia.
  • Canadian certification (FRCP, FRCS or CCFP) at the time of appointment.
  • Suitability for appointment to the University of British Columbia.
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada.
  • Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities impacting Indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism.
