Job Title: Retail Store Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at The Indian Supermarket. As a Retail Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure that they are adequately trained to perform their tasks.
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills to perform their jobs.
  • Order merchandise and authorize the return of merchandise to ensure that our store is well-stocked and that we are not overstocked.
  • Establish work schedules to ensure that our store is adequately staffed at all times.
  • Sell merchandise and provide excellent customer service to ensure that our customers are satisfied with their shopping experience.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to ensure that our store is running efficiently.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that our store is well-stocked and that we are not overstocked.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure that our store is running smoothly and efficiently.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail environment.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to multitask.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg.
