Job Overview

MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business advisory firm in Canada, providing business strategies and solutions to entrepreneurs and businesses.

We are seeking a Business Recovery Expert to join our Recovery & Restructuring team, who will assist lenders and debtors with managing challenging financial situations.

As a trusted advisor, you will help clients navigate through times of financial distress, providing expert guidance and support to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain and analyze all necessary mandate information
  • Support the preparation of schedules, reports, cash flows and other documentation
  • Assist in compiling, reviewing and analyzing creditor data and government registries
  • Respond to creditor and other interested parties' queries
  • Assist with administering the asset sale process and debt recovery
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders both on the phone and in-person, as necessary
  • Work collaboratively with the engagement team
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Working towards a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is considered an asset
