Assistant Manager

West Coast Kids is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our retail store, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage staff and assign duties to ensure efficient store operations
- Determine merchandise and services to be sold, including implementing price and credit policies
- Locate, select, and procure merchandise for resale, ensuring that our store remains competitive
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive sales and increase customer engagement
- Recruit, hire, and supervise staff, ensuring that our team is well-trained and motivated
- Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations, including managing inventory and maintaining a clean and safe store environment
- 1-2 years of retail experience, preferably in a management role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, customers, and vendors
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education an asset
Our store is located in an urban area, and our team is committed to providing a positive and inclusive work environment. As an Assistant Manager, you will be expected to work a 40-hour week, with flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
