About the Opportunity

The Physiotherapist will work in a tertiary care setting, assessing and treating patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities. The successful candidate will develop holistic treatment programs using exercises, education, and manual, mechanical, electrical, and hydrotherapy techniques to assist patients in regaining and/or maintaining optimal function.

About You

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited university and membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, as well as computer skills, including statistics input, word processing, and GroupWise. Annual Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation certification and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System training and certification are also required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities
  • Develop and implement holistic treatment programs using various techniques
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Supervise and evaluate physiotherapy students and assistants
Working Conditions

The Physiotherapist will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care. The successful candidate may be required to work weekends and provide services at various sites within the Rehabilitation Services portfolio.
