Job Summary:

The STARS Air Ambulance Pilot is a critical member of our operational team, responsible for safely and effectively piloting our aircraft to provide emergency medical transportation services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely and effectively pilot STARS aircraft
  • Maintain a category 1 aviation medical
  • Meet aircraft training standards and licensing requirements
  • Hold a valid Commercial Rotary Wing Licence, Multi-Engine and Night/IFR experience, Group 4 Instrument rating, and Helicopter Night Ratings
  • Pass a valid Class 1 medical and obtain an Airbus H145 type rating (if applicable)
  • Successfully complete the Controlled Goods Security Assessment Application for Night Vision Goggle purposes
  • Hold a valid Canadian Passport or be able to work in Canada and travel to the USA
  • Provide immunization records with required vaccinations

Requirements:

  • Ability to work a schedule of day and night shifts to support our 24/7/365 patient care mission
  • Flexibility to travel to any STARS base with less than 24 hours' notice to act as PIC or SIC
  • Ability to relocate to be within an hour of either our Regina or Saskatoon base
