Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Fabricator (TIG) to join our team on an afternoon shift. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for reading and understanding schematics and blueprints, fabricating metal parts and structures, and working with mostly stainless steel. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and become a fully licensed Fabricator.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use TIG welding to fabricate custom projects
  • Fitting together metal pieces according to blueprints and schematics
  • Operating brake press, shear, saw, and ironworker to fabricate pieces
  • Grinding, polishing, and finishing welds
  • Assisting with various shop projects, including shop maintenance
  • Fabrication of various jobs/projects
  • Reading blueprints, drawings, and sketches
  • Knowledge of Tri-Mach Group Inc. HACCP and GMP guidelines and practices
  • Conducting quality control checks
  • Working closely with designers, engineers, and product development
  • Accurate and timely completion of all daily paperwork
Requirements
  • Completion of High School or equivalent
  • Previous 5 years of fabrication experience
  • Stainless Steel TIG welding experience is essential
  • Get it done attitude and skilled at removing barriers
  • Team spirit, not with ego; want everyone, including yourself, to do their best work
  • Ability to think beyond the needs of the customer to point out errors and potential issues
  • Ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions, cope effectively with complexity and change, quickly understand and absorb new information and respond appropriately
  • Clear communication in both oral and written form
Assets
  • Metal Fabricator/Fitter 437A or equivalent
  • CWB tickets considered a strong asset
  • Forklift License or experience is an asset
