About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team at RONA. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for leading and executing complex procurement projects, negotiating with suppliers, and developing and implementing procurement strategies to drive business growth and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Project Management: Lead and execute high-complexity procurement projects, including strategic corporate initiatives, and ensure timely delivery of results.
  • Supplier Negotiation and Relationship Management: Co-authorize new Statements of Work (SOWs) with internal clients, negotiate with suppliers, and develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Procurement Policy and Procedure Development: Draft and update corporate procurement policies and operational procedures, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Contract Management: Set up and maintain contract analysis templates, standard clauses, and tendering and information processes.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Supervise and train peers in negotiation preparation and execution, and manage the resource under your responsibility.
Requirements
  • Education: Hold a university degree in business administration.
  • Experience: Ten years of experience in negotiation, including at least five years in the drafting and management of major tenders.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and writing skills, experience in retail and distribution (asset), ability to work under pressure, adapt easily to change, and possess team spirit and leadership.
  • Language: Proficient in French, spoken and written.
