Job Title: Hardwood Floor Layer

Woodbusters Flooring Ltd. is seeking a skilled and experienced Hardwood Floor Layer to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual to install hardwood floors in commercial and residential settings. The ideal candidate will have experience working with power tools, wood finishing, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Install resilient floor coverings and prepare hardwood floors
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Prepare floors for installations and remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
  • Smooth gouges with wood filler and sand wood
  • Smooth rough edges using belt sanders or smoothing wheels
  • Sand, trim, grind, or clean products into final form using hand tools
  • File, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired
  • Vacuum floors and sand wooden surfaces
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation
  • Steel-toed safety boots
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and hand-eye coordination
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with varying work sites, including commercial and residential settings. The role requires physical demands, including handling heavy loads and bending.
