Project Manager Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering commercial construction projects on time and within budget. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading project teams, managing client relationships, and ensuring seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in new project sales meetings with potential clients and collaborate with the Business Development lead
  • Develop, monitor, and update construction schedules and job costs to ensure accurate project forecasts
  • Maintain and update project files, including contracts, subcontracts, and change orders
  • Manage owner and consultant-initiated change notices and change orders, requesting pricing from subcontractors as needed
  • Review and process shop drawings, set up and attend site subcontractor coordination meetings, and distribute minutes to all parties
  • Set up and attend Owner/Consultant meetings, taking minutes and distributing them to all parties
  • Assist the Project Estimator in preparing estimates when required and review and approve subcontractor monthly progress draws
  • Prepare monthly progress claims and submit them to the Owner for payment, while also preparing monthly project forecasting
  • E nsure the Site Superintendent has all up-to-date project documents, including drawings, specifications, subcontracts, schedules, and change orders, and work closely with them to ensure overall project coordination
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 4+ years of previous Project Management experience working on diverse projects
  • University or college diploma in a relevant construction/engineering program
  • Integrated Project Delivery Contract experience is an asset
  • Excellent computer skills, including experience using MS Office, Project, Scheduling, and Project Management software
  • Experience in all forms of contracts and delivery, with sound knowledge in reviewing and negotiating contracts for construction projects
  • Strong technical, business, financial, and legal acumen, excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentations), and the ability to successfully translate technical information to non-technical individuals
  • Experience working with different project delivery methods, exemplary leadership skills, and strong teambuilding capabilities
  • Ability to problem-solve, maintain a valid provincial driver's license, and travel on average once a month to visit sites under construction
Competitive Compensation Package
