Job Description

Senior Financial Analyst Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Restructuring team in Toronto. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, reviewing financial models, and assessing companies' current financial position.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing financial data and reviewing financial models to identify trends and areas for improvement;
  • Assessing companies' current financial position, business plans, and financial forecasts;
  • Preparing integrated cash flow models to inform decision-making;
  • Collaborating with the team to advise corporations, lenders, creditors, shareholders, regulators, or the Courts through financial reviews, business turnarounds, and financial restructurings;
  • Participating in practice development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge;
  • Providing excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders;

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a professional accounting services firm (audit preferred);
  • Proven analytical and systematic problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Enrolled or willing to enroll in the Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) program;
  • Ongoing CPA accounting designation;
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills;
  • Able to prioritize tasks and manage workload demands efficiently;

Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum
