Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide holistic nursing care to patients and families in an acute medical unit setting
- Work effectively within an inter-disciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care
- Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions
- Teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families
- Support an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance
- Completion of an accredited nursing education program
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
- Current Oncology/Palliative care experience and acute care experience
- Competence in relevant technical nursing skills and a willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to work shift work and meet the physical demands of the job
- Certification in Oncology and/or Palliative care
- Baccalaureate Degree
