About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical & Electrical Estimating Student to join our team in the Toronto District, within our Canadian Buildings Division.

As a Mechanical & Electrical Estimating Student, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize PCL's estimating manuals, systems, and forms to perform quantity surveys and transfer quantities to lead estimators.
  • Review quantity survey assignments with lead estimators or Chief Estimators.
  • Provide quantities of major purchase items to the purchasing department for pricing.
  • Perform general subtrade solicitation duties and assist with bid document control.
  • Visit job sites periodically to develop relationships with subcontractors.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
  • A strong desire to work in a construction environment, with prior field construction experience considered an asset.
  • Application of various computer software programs, including word processing, spreadsheet applications, and drafting.
