Job SummaryWe're seeking a highly skilled Specialist Expert, Technical Services-Cheese to provide leadership and technical support in the areas of process and product development, formula optimization, process implementation, cost reduction initiatives, yield optimization, and continuous improvement audits.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a technical expert in cheese manufacturing for various internal and external sectors of activity.
- Provide technical support in the areas of cheese manufacturing, evaluating and identifying product or production problems, and developing and implementing action plans to remedy them.
- Optimize cheese products, processes, and recipes.
- Evaluate and implement new industrial technologies and cheese manufacturing processes.
- Participate in the establishment of plant financial targets and cost reduction initiatives.
- Develop new cheese products.
- Ensure effective dissemination of results to various audiences.
- Transfer knowledge acquired to cheese makers for the proper implementation and maintenance of cheese formulations and manufacturing processes.
- For eligible projects, ensure the completion of information required for the proper functioning of the SR&ED program.
- University degree in food technology, food engineering, or equivalent training.
- Graduate degree (M.Sc or Ph.D), especially in the dairy sector, is an asset.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a dairy processing environment, preferably cheese manufacturing.
- Autonomous, versatile, motivated individual with strong intellectual curiosity.
- Good popularizer and communicator (verbal and written), able to influence.
- Good team player.
- Analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Bilingualism (French and English) in speaking and writing is required in Quebec, as the teams and clients are spread across Canada. French is an asset for other provinces.
