About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Framer Carpenter to join our team at Velocity Enterprises Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
• Instructing apprentices and supervising other workers.
• Estimating costs and materials.
• Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.

Education

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

• Assistance with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees (e.g., housing, transportation, storage, childcare, winter clothing, etc.).
• Support for social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (e.g., facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.).
• Recruitment of newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (e.g., Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.).
