Job Title: Cyclotron Technologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyclotron Technologist to join our team at Shared Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of radiopharmaceuticals and reagents under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), carrying out quality control of radiopharmaceuticals, production space environmental monitoring and cleaning, maintaining inventory to manufacture radiopharmaceutical products, and operating the cyclotron as an auxiliary cyclotron operator for both internal and external customers for clinical use and research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare radiopharmaceuticals and reagents under GMP
  • Carry out quality control of radiopharmaceuticals
  • Conduct production space environmental monitoring and cleaning
  • Maintain inventory to manufacture radiopharmaceutical products
  • Operate the cyclotron as an auxiliary cyclotron operator

Requirements:

  • University degree in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Biological Sciences or related field
  • Recent experience performing benchwork (wet chemistry) in a laboratory setting
  • Experience with quality control (QC), GC, TLC and HPLC
  • Recent experience working in a GMP environment
  • Experience in programming and running of automated synthesis units (ASUs) for both [11C] and [18F] radiosynthesis

  • Physically able to lift lead transfer pots weighing up to 25 pounds
