Job Title: Secondary Resource Teacher

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Resource Teacher to join our team at the Commission Scolaire Central Quebec / Central Quebec School Board. As a Secondary Resource Teacher, you will play a vital role in facilitating enriching educational activities for students and contributing to the animation of school life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Educational Programs: Design and deliver educational programs that cater to the diverse needs of students, focusing on key disciplines and individualized learning.
  • Encourage a Secure Learning Environment: Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment that promotes student autonomy and exploration of interests.
  • Monitor and Adjust Pedagogical Approach: Regularly assess student progress and adjust the pedagogical approach to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
  • Communicate with Parents: Keep parents informed of their children's progress and challenges through regular updates.
  • Contribute to School Life: Participate in the animation of school life and extra-curricular activities, promoting a dynamic and inclusive school community.
  • Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with school staff to provide personalized support to students and enhance the educational experience.
  • Coordinate Extra-Curricular Activities: Organize and supervise extra-curricular activities and work placements to enrich learning opportunities.
  • Provide Mentoring and Support: Offer targeted academic support and mentoring to students, ensuring their academic success.
  • Supervise Students: Ensure the safety and well-being of students under your responsibility.
  • Communicate Results: Share student progress and results with principals and parents in accordance with established protocols.
  • Pedagogical Responsibilities: Perform various pedagogical responsibilities to enhance the educational experience and contribute to the school's mission.
