Key Responsibilities

  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess student progress and adjust the pedagogical approach accordingly.
  • Parent Communication: Keep parents informed of their children's progress and challenges through regular updates.
  • Extra-Curricular Activities: Coordinate and participate in extra-curricular activities and work placements to enrich the learning experience.
  • Mentoring and Support: Provide targeted academic support and mentoring to students, ensuring their academic success.
  • Student Supervision: Supervise students under your responsibility, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate student progress to principals and parents, and collaborate with school staff to provide personalized support.
  • Pedagogical Meetings: Participate in pedagogical meetings for professional development and to enhance the educational experience.
Requirements
  • Teaching Permit: Hold or be in the process of obtaining a valid teaching permit issued by the MEQ.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in written and spoken English, as well as a good knowledge of French.
  • Passion for Teaching: Demonstrate a genuine passion for teaching and enthusiasm for educating students.
  • Adaptability: Adapt to the specific needs of each student and be flexible in lesson planning.
  • Conflict Resolution: Apply conflict-resolution-oriented classroom management strategies.
  • Team Player: Have a keen interest in participating in initiatives that contribute to the school's development or in team projects.
  • Previous Experience: Previous relevant experience would be an asset.
