Job Title: Noise Information Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Noise Information Coordinator to join our team at the Vancouver Airport Authority.

Job Summary:

The Noise Information Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the noise complaint and noise information component of the Airport Authority's YVR Aeronautical Noise Management Program area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage contact between the Airport Authority's Noise Management Program and the public.
  • Maintain and use Aircraft Noise & Operations Monitoring System and other data sources to track, investigate, and respond to community questions and concerns.
  • Collect, analyze, and provide data for internal and external customers and produce data reports where required.
  • Monitor air carrier compliance with YVR's Noise Abatement Procedures, as well as investigate potential deviations.
  • Communicate with and educate other departments at the Airport Authority on noise management issues.
  • Draft community advisories and website material about changes to airport operations.
Requirements:
  • At least two years of relevant experience, supplemented by a completion of High school plus one to two years of post-secondary schooling, including trades apprenticeships, preferably in the aviation sector.
  • Ability to understand technical information relating to aircraft operations, air traffic control, and airport operations.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • High level of proficiency in MS 365 (e.g., MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and demonstrated ability to manage challenging conversations.
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $56,911 to $74,375 per annum, based on a 37.5-hour work week.
