Job Description


We are seeking a highly skilled General Helper to join our team at a world-class Horizon North camp facility. As a General Helper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the overall kitchen operations and cleanliness of designated areas. Your work will involve washing, scrubbing, cleaning, and sanitizing kitchen and dining areas, as well as cleaning equipment and dishes.



Your Responsibilities Will Include:



  • Washing and sanitizing kitchen and dining areas
  • Cleaning kitchen and dining room floors and tables
  • Cleaning refrigerators, ovens, and other kitchen equipment
  • Washing pots, dishes, glasses, cups, etc., after each meal and as required
  • Deep cleaning as required
  • Restocking and rotating desserts, sandwiches, beverages, and condiments
  • Assisting in loading, unloading, and placing supplies and inventory
  • Maintaining health and safety regulations and quality standards
  • Performing other duties assigned by your manager

Requirements


To succeed as a General Helper, you'll need:



  • To be fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • To have at least FoodSafe Level I certification, with SafeCheck advanced food safety certification or HACCP certification being an asset
  • To be able to prioritize multiple demands and organize a work schedule effectively
  • To obtain a mark of 80% or higher on the mandatory WHMIS test (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)
