Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Financial Planning Strategist to provide financial planning that is closely integrated with wealth management, supporting the Wealth Advisor team in laying the groundwork for creating and developing a comprehensive wealth strategy for clients. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with advisors to deliver personal financial plans, implement recommendations, and contribute to ongoing professional practice through participation in monthly Total Wealth Planning calls.

Responsibilities
  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Support the financial planning needs of assigned clients, including discovery, plan preparation, presentation, and implementation.
  • Input client data into financial planning software.
  • Build comprehensive financial plans addressing clients' immediate and future goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with local Senior Total Wealth Planners and Associates on Total Wealth Planning engagement.
  • Provide updates on financial planning and industry trends to support Wealth Advisors and their clients.
Requirements
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Insurance Qualification (IQFP) is required.
  • Licensed as a Registered Representative with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) is considered an asset.
  • In-depth understanding of comprehensive financial planning, including investments, asset protection, retirement, estate planning, and tax issues.
  • Experience in Total Wealth Planning engagement from client discovery to plan delivery.
